Satin Angora Rabbit Prices

I, as a breeder who knows other breeders and has seen other rabbit breeding sites, am often suprised to see that over 90% of them don't list the prices of their rabbits. As a breeder, I feel like I should post as much info about our rabbitry as we can to help people decided whether to buy from us or not. I feel like it will really help people. I also hold discounts on pairs/trios and MORE.

Some of my Angoras are more exspensive than others depending on the rabbit itself. Here are the usualy factors of price variation:

  1. COLOR

Some colors are more popular than others. The most popular colors tend to be Black, Pointed Colors, Chinchilla (Silver), and Fawn. Some colors are also a lot harder to achieve, which makes that rabbit more expensive. Rabbits that come into my litters with a non-showable color are usually less expensive.

  2.  AGE

Rabbits that I've had for while are usually less expensive than baby rabbits. Most people like to buy the rabbits when they are younger however because babies have an easier time adjusting to other people than adult rabbits.

  3. SHOWABILITY

Most rabbits can be determined if they are showable or not after 6-7 weeks of age. Rabbits with wonderful fur, have the right colored fur, right eye color, body type and are not showing any other prominent genes from other breeds (like the Vienna gene) are also a little more money.

So what ARE the prices?

The average price is $145 and above for a younger rabbit who is showable. Non-showable rabbits are usually between $65-$100, and older rabbits can vary heavily, depending on showability and coat. They usually vary between $60-$160. (When I mean older rabbit, I mean a rabbit who is about to enter the Senior Age in Showmanship Age. Usually 5 months+)

I do offer all kinds of discounts on pairs/trios. It also depends, though, if they are a showable trio or a pair of fawn babies...etc. You can email me to ask for discounts. You can also look on our "Bunnies and Rabbits for Sale" page to see who's being sold. I list some information there that you can look at.

What color is the most expensive?

That depends on which color is in most demand. Usually the most expensive color is black or chinchilla, since these colors rarely pop up in my litters and people seem to adore them. Like I said, it just depends.
