Sales Policy

NOTE: If you have any questions about reserving or purchasing a rabbit, call or email me. You can also fill out a rabbit form on the "Waiting List" page of our website before deciding to reserve.

Status for Sales/Reserving a Rabbit

  • WITHELD- We'll be keeping this rabbit for showmanship and won't be for sale until the rabbit it older/or we'll be keeping the rabbit overall.

  • AVAILABLE- Rabbit is up for sale, and had not been reserved or bought.

  • RESERVED- We have 25% of the deposit of the total purchase.

  • PENDING- Desposit in transit.

  • SOLD- The rabbit has been picked up by its new owners!

To reserve one of our rabbits, you must do it with a 25% deposit. We take cash, checks, and credit cards (via paypal). The remaining balance can be due before the rabbit is picked up or at the time of pick-up. Rabbits are ready for pick-up the day they turn 8 weeks old (10 weeks old for showable rabbits), no less than that! If a reserved rabbit has not been picked up by 10 days after a reservation, the rabbit will be back up for sale without a refund of the 25% or full deposit (the only way to do this is using the PayPal option on either the "Bunnies and Rabbits for Sale" page or this page). The remaining balance is due in cash at the time of pickup. For a refund of deposit, I would like a reason before the 10 days of reservation is fully up. If you also do not pick up the rabbit by 10 days of reservation, you cannot re-reserve unless there is a specific reason you were not able to pick the rabbit up in the 10 days.

Opal Hill does not ship any rabbits nor do we sell cages. A place we recommend for buying cages is Woody's Wabbits in Astoria, OR. The buyer is responsible for the safe transportation of the rabbit back to its new home. Each rabbit will come with a small plastic bag of food, cleaned body, and trimmed nails. (And if requested with an additional fee of $12, a full-body shearing of the rabbit).

We guarentee the health of our rabbits for up to six weeks after being bought. If the rabbit shows signs of sickness or illness during this period, the rabbit may be returned to us with the replacement of a full refund. If you have a rabbitry, we recommend to quarantine the rabbit for 30 days in a seperate area before placing it in your rabbitry.

We do not guarentee the rabbit you buy will be show quality or produce quality fur and wool, as these can be affected as a rabbit grows older.

We do not sell bad-tempered rabbits or sick rabbits. With rabbits that may not be show-quality (reasons for the coloring of the wool), we will sell that rabbit just for wool productions. Rabbits I am selling that are most likely not showmanship worthy will be labeled with a *. We try our best to breed for good show rabbits.
