Our Lovely Rabbits of Opal Hill

These are my lovely rabbits, most breeders and woolers but some just the latter. I also list the registered and the showmanship buns. I am also proud to have Thistlebrook lines at my rabbitry.

A Lamb's Touch Ruby

REW German Angora Doe

Ruby is an amazing rabbit. She is a pure-bred German Angora. I have had her since October 2013, when she was only 5 months old and I have loved her ever since. We have been on some big adventures together, full of showmanship and companionship. I am hoping to possibly breed her with a Satin Angora buck for a German x Satin Angora Hybrid program. She is extremely sweet and likes to roll around in our backyard. She is the main reason why I want to be a member of IAGARB. RETIRED SHOWMANSHIP DOE.

Thistlebrook's Basil

Chocolate Tortoishell Satin Angora Buck

Basil is our herd sire and prince charming at Opal Hill. He is extremely clownish and fun. So far he has been a great fiber-producer and sire of our litters. His two favorite things are the raised bed in our backyard and the bunny girls. He especially has a thing for Phoebe, which I'm pretty happy for! Can't wait to see how he does at the judge's tables when I start showing him.

Thistlebrook's Phoebe
Fawn Satin Angora Doe

Phoebe has a beautiful coat and lovely sheen. Even though she can be skittish at first she sits as still as a statue when being brushed and trimmed. She is also the one who produces the gorgeous red, fawn and pearl babies at my rabbitry...so Phoebe is definintely staying with us! I just adore this girl.

Thistlebrook's Amanita

Chocolate Tortoishell Satin Angora Doe

Even though I named her after a genus of mostly-deadly mushrooms, Amanita is sweet as pie...all the time, every time. Amanita has an incredibly dense, soft, luxurious coat that I just can't stop touching! Luckily, she's so good-natured and gentle I could pet her for hours without her wriggling one bit. She has produced more than an average Satin Angora per shearing...I bet each shearing brings me about 6 oz. She's a great mother and wooler and I am definetly proud to have her at our rabbitry
